When I need motivation

I AM FAT AND I AM UGLY.

My friend Erik taught me that mantra -- it's the remedy for complacency. Whenever I realize that a part of me thinks I've got this life thing sussed out, I just say, "I am fat and I am ugly." It also serves a dual purpose when one is in a self-deprecative mode.

I AM FAT AND I AM UGLY.

What happened to "You can do it, Thomas the Engine"?

Why is it that we become lazy about normal daily activities when our spouse or love interest is away? Fuel for blogging I am sure ;)

Hi, I was just out blog surfing for detailed info on motivation when I ended up on your page. Obviously I ended up a little off base, but I am certainly glad I did. If you wouldn't mind, I would like to post your link on my "favorites" page. Should you ever need it, there is valuable information on my site about motivation.
